Honbu Dojo CDMX
Main dojo of the Mexican Association of Kyokushin Karate
The Honbu Dojo in Mexico City is the main dojo of the Mexican Association of Kyokushin Karate and the historical heart of the organization in the country. Its identity is deeply tied to the legacy of Shihan Gessi Krame, who formally introduced Kyokushin in Mexico in 1976 after training as a direct student of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama in Japan.
Through his teaching, Shihan Gessi Krame planted in Mexico a martial tradition based on discipline, respect, spiritual strength and a constant search for self-improvement. After his death in 2010, the responsibility of continuing that path passed to his student and successor, Sensei Jacobo Ramírez, who assumed leadership of the organization with the mission of preserving the essence of budo transmitted by his teacher.
Today, the Honbu Dojo continues that work as a central space for training, practice and transmission of Kyokushin in Mexico.
