Seminar and grading — March 16, 2025

On March 16, 2025, So-Kyokushin Mexico held a seminar and grading that brought together practitioners of different levels to work technique, kihon, partner work and grade evaluation.

The session was led by Sensei Jacobo Ramírez, Branch Chief of World So-Kyokushin in Mexico, together with black belts and instructors of the school. Gatherings of this kind are part of the ordinary calendar of the Mexican Association of Kyokushinkai Karate Shihan Gessi Krame: spaces where the technical lineage is reinforced and grade progress is evaluated.

Technical work

During the seminar, participants practiced kihon in formation, blocks, movement and close-range work. Training combined collective repetition with demonstrations and partner correction — a usual structure in the school’s seminars, aimed at both colored belts and black belts.

Grading and community

The gathering also served as a grading. In the Kyokushin tradition, examinations do not only measure technique: they evaluate physical condition, attitude and the ability to sustain work under pressure. At the close, participants of different belts shared group photos and a gathering afterward.
